How does your program work?

First, we conduct an intensive assessment before a formal coaching agreement is signed. An individual or a team is evaluated using managerial feedback, 360-degree feedback (when available), personal interviews and a self-assessment. The coach will meet with both the sponsor and the candidate(s) individually to identify skills and needs, assess readiness, explain the process, set expectations and gain commitment. At that point, we develop a Personal Learning Plan.

How often does one have to meet with his/her coach?

Participation consists of weekly contact (on-site or via email and phone) and commitment to an action plan with deadlines. The number of sessions is negotiated up front and typically coach and client agree to periodic contact for 3-6 months following coaching to ensure continuous improvement.

Who typically attends your workshops?

At the big picture level, anyone and everyone. Attendees come from diverse backgrounds with varying levels of expertise. People with little or no background in the topic to experts seeking a refresher course. From AAs to CFOs, medical doctors to marketers, sales reps to VPs, customer services reps to…well, you get the picture.

At the client level, you define the workshop’s audience. You may opt for either an open session or an intact team module. Typically, an open session workshop is made up of a spectrum of attendees. An intact team module consists of attendees who work together as a group, as a team, as a department, or in a single discipline.

What’s the minimum # of attendees needed to fill a workshop?

We maintain a small class size, typically ranging from 10 to 24 participants, depending on the topic. Why? Small classes allow interactivity, individual attention and ample practice time. However, this number is not set in stone. We will work closely with you to determine the best minimum (and maximum) that meets your training needs and budget, while maintaining the integrity of the learning experience.

If you have a small number of participants—say, 1 to 3—we may offer tutorials or coaching sessions instead. On the other hand, we can also teach certain workshops at industry conferences with more than 100 participants.

Do you customize your workshops?

Yes. We have two different definitions of customization: customization to the needs of the workgroup and creating new workshops/programs.

One: Customization to the needs of the workgroup/class
Each workshop is self-customizing based on the audience. The core workshop material is standard, but we customize the class experience by adding real-life examples and sample materials. This customization is pivotal to the success of our training.

Two: Creating new workshops/programs
Don’t see the communication or leadership workshop you need? Let’s discuss. We are experienced organizational development consultants and curriculum designers. We can create custom workshops and training programs to meet your specific training goals.
